Statistical detection of anomalies in data
All datasets that have evolved without unnatural interference or intervention has a universal mathematical characterization. We call this process of characterization, Numberprinting. When a dataset was interfered with (unintentional or otherwise), it will distort the Numberprint. Numbers responsible for the distortion are labeled as anomalies and identified within statistical confidence bounds. These anomalies are more often than not the best place to start verifying the integrity of a dataset.
Numberprinting is a proprietary algorithm that has been battle tested in a variety of fields. It consistently detects anomalies ranging from systematic errors to outright fraud. The levels of undetected or unidentified inaccuracies in financial, engineering and survey data are often much more than most data owners are prepared to recognize.
